*2。5 Stars*The concept of this story was interesting， I liked the idea of there being a universal energy that humans could connect to to find a sense of guidance but I feel like it could have been written better。 There were so many side characters that by the time there were reappearances towards the end I could barely remember who they were （I kept forgetting who Phil was） and I read the whole thing in two days。 I think having more descriptions abut what each character looked like would have he *2。5 Stars*The concept of this story was interesting， I liked the idea of there being a universal energy that humans could connect to to find a sense of guidance but I feel like it could have been written better。 There were so many side characters that by the time there were reappearances towards the end I could barely remember who they were （I kept forgetting who Phil was） and I read the whole thing in two days。 I think having more descriptions abut what each character looked like would have helped。 The story also seemed a little too fast-paced so that made following what was happening with all of the characters even more challenging。 Overall it seemed like author was putting a lot of effort into saying something worthwhile instead of telling a story。 This book just wasn't for me but I read it anyway at the request of my mother， there are three more books in this series but I don't have any desire to find out what happens next so I'll be stopping with this book。 。。。more

This was a second read for me。 I first read it 20 years ago & didn’t absorb much beyond the 2nd insight。 This time I think the insights resonated much more spiritually with me， but the fictional story， understood as a vessel to deliver the insights， is nonsense。 Don’t bother with the movie。 It’s rubbish & doesn’t explain the insights very well。 So 4 stars for the message of the insights & 2 starts for the story。
